This series of photographs is about the people that clean the international ferries when they arrive at Plymouth harbour. These people are modern slaves. They are from poor countries without education, or from the most underprivileged of British society, not knowing their rights they are exploited by the large companies. They do the job that no one else wants to do, in conditions that no one would accept, for a wage next to nothing. These are the people who are hidden by our society so that we do not have to think about their life in misery.
